The Wanderers Theatre is a new independent theatre company specialising in site-specific theatre. The company was founded in 2024 by a group of diverse young artists, united by their passion for creating unique and innovative work. The Wanderers Theatre values inclusivity and reinvention. They aim to create exciting theatre that challenges traditions, as well as provide opportunities for emerging artists.

Meet The Wanderers themselves...


Abigail Fritsch

Abigail Fritsch is a performing artist who is passionate about story telling. Having graduated with her Bachelor of Performing Arts from Federation University Arts Academy, Abigail has trained as an actor, singer, and dancer. Since graduating she has worked as a performer with Kryal Castle as well as touring a production of Love’s Labour’s Lost (Rosaline) with the Australian Shakespeare Company. She is a founding member of The Wanderers Theatre Company and performed as Hermia in their debut production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Abigail is excited to continue working with new up-and-coming artists to bring tantalising theatrical productions to the local community.
Zephya Amelie

Raised on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Zephya is an authentic and energetic creative with a particular love for Shakespeare, Historical settings and Australian Theatre. She trained at Federation University’s Arts Academy in Ballarat, which instilled in her a strong desire to make professional-level theatre opportunities more accessible to regional communities. Alongside her studies, Zephya worked as a performer at Kryal Castle up until 2025, where she adored playing various princesses, pirates and thieves. Although she spends most of her time performing, she has recently been exploring various production roles, as she loves being involved in creative projects across a greater variety of positions. The goal is to sneak her eggs into as many baskets as possible. Her recent production credits include Federation University’s production “Pippin” (Assistant Stage Manager), and the award-winning short film “Melodies of the Abyss” (Script and Continuity Supervisor). During the day, Zephya keeps up her acting skills by playing pretend with the best little kids as a Nanny.
Flynn Davis

Flynn Davis is a queer creative learning and playing on Wadawurrung Land. Growing up in the countryside of Gippsland, they’re excited to give back to the community by using this platform. They have a passion for performing and creating, and is a proud member of the queer fairytale troupe “The Story Keepers”. Flynn is excited for the many, many stories they get to tell, such as Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream dir. by Jack Smith, and is excited for the wonderful journey this company has to offer.
Most recently, Flynn appeared as Lady Macbeth in the musical comedy "Second Best Bed" by Mae McCubbin at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
Through playing, learning and expressing what they have, they are very excited to share with the community their art.
Caitlin McCallig

Caitlin is an intelligent and bold performer with a love for the creative arts, whether performing or visual. Throughout last year, she is grateful to have been involved with a number of projects, including performing as Laura in The Glass Menagerie with Running With Scissors Theatre and being selected as a finalist in the Rob Guest Endowment Workshops. She is a founder of The Wanderers Theatre, having performed as Puck in their debut production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and as Susan in Vinegar Tom, whilst also costume designing and artistically directing both productions. She is a 2024 graduate of Federation University’s Bachelor of Performing Arts, where she appeared in Cymbeline: a Romance (Arviragus), The Spirit Level (Matron 2), A Girls Guide to World War (Mrs Harley) and devised songs in After Joan. In 2022, she was a Resident Artist with Be You’s Broadway Unplugged and her passion for Australian work drives her to develop her own writing in her spare time
Jack Smith

Jack Smith has been an active performer in Melbourne and regional Victorian theatre for over a decade, specialising in Shakespearean and musical theatre. Most recently, Jack has performed in multiple original Melbourne Fringe Festival musicals, and toured internationally a production of “Love’s Labour’s Lost” with the Australian Shakespeare Company. In 2025, Jack directed The Wanderers Theatre’s debut production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, and directed/choreographed an original Melbourne Fringe musical, “ARRGONAUTS”. He is also a proud member of the Kryal Castle performance team in Ballarat. Jack is enthusiastic about collaborating with other performing/creative artists to stage entertaining and relevant productions for modern and local audiences.
